1 Ngultrum Initiative was commenced on 11th July 2016 to create awareness on the importance of one ngultrum notes in the society whereby the fund generated are devoted to the life- saving cause “Bhutan Kidney Foundation Welfare Fund”.
The Project is an initiative of Mr. Jigme Namgay, a graduate in BA Economics and Environment from Royal Thimphu College in 2015.
With this project, Jigme envisions to raise awareness on the importance of ONE Ngultrum in the country where value of lower denomination money have become seemingly less or least important. Jigme’s ultimate motive to support the plight of Bhutanese kidney patients found its match with his decision to devote 100% amount raised from this project to the Bhutan Kidney Foundation.
Procedure to join as a member
- Submit a duly filled membership form with a soft copy of recent passport size photo (jpg/jpeg/png format)
- A minimal card printing fee of Nu. 80/- (It can be paid during the time of collecting the card)
