Forty-seven-year-old, Phurpa Dorji Tamang suffered from kidney damage in 2013. The BKF’s intervention with constant counseling and support inspired him and his daughter Yeshi Choden Tamang to process for the kidney transplant. However, the patient had to wait for 2 years as Yeshi was studying in XI then.
With the hope and belief that his daughter is determined to save his life, the father breathed on dialysis for the next 2 years. The BKF published an article on social media about the daughter’s will to save her father. The story depicting the bond between the father and daughter generated overwhelming support from the public. Today, they are enjoying a normal and healthy life since the transplant in 2015.
