47 year old, Phurpa Dorji Tamang suffered from kidney damage in 2013. The BKF’s intervention with constant counselling and support inspired him and his daughter Yeshi Choden Tamang to process for kidney transplant. However, the patient had to wait for 2 years as Yeshi was studying in 11th grade then. With the hope and believe that his daughter is determined to save his life, the father breathe on dialysis for the next 2 years. The BKF published an article on social media about the daughter’s will to save her father, and the story depicting bond between father and daughter generated overwhelming support from the public. Today, they are enjoying a normal and healthy lives since the transplant in 2015.
